At the beginning of November, the last edition of Wall Lab was celebrated.
Amongst all the people registered to the call, four of them were chosen and had the opportunity to express their works in a medium sized wall, located in Poblenou, Barcelona (Passatge de la Llacuna, 22).
The chosen artists were Carola Bagnato, an Argentinian illustrator and muralist; Dirty, from L’Hospitalet, former graphic designer that decided to fully throw himself into his art; Galleta Maria, Valencian artist specialized in design and illustration; and Pol Pintó, local artist whose work is born from movement.
The new wall in Poblenou destined to Wall Lab was filled with the four free themed works in which we can find a character that explores accompanied by his guiding animal, by Carola Bagnato; a tribute to love and the different way of loving by Galleta Maria, Pol Pintó’s abstraction expressed in two triangles that complement each other made by a chalk liner; or the coloured world in which Dirty places his peculiar characters.
Wall Lab is an artistic program which has the objective of making the Barcelona’s artists talent visible, and at the same time promote the professionalization of Urban Art in the city.
This edition ended with a process and results very satisfactory that helped building bonds between the artists, and to revitalize the urban space where the intervention took place. We want to thank once more the collaboration of Montana Colors and the Sant Martí District for trusting this project and giving the space for artistic and cultural development.
