The MIAU (Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano) is an open-air museum project established in the municipality of Fanzara (Castellón), being an initiative that has opted to transfer, link and redefine urban art in rural areas. The goals that have always defined the association in charge of the MIAU since its first edition in 2014 are promoting art, cultural activities, critical and contemporary thinking, artistic recycling and art linked to the environment and the rural areas, as well as multi-interdisciplinary, becoming a benchmark in the field of alternative cultural production at a national and international scale.
According to this, in the streets of Fanzara you can see more than 150 artistic interventions that are the result of the work of the 73 artists who participated throughout the five editions of the festival, becoming the engine of a social project in constant evolution and a non-profit movement that involves a collective experience of coexistence, collaboration and reciprocal exchange of knowledge between artists, neighbours, volunteers and organizers, all through urban art. Therefore, its access is totally free due to the fact that the whole town itself constitutes the museum. In this way, the project continues to grow year after year and has already confirmed its 6th edition, which will be celebrated between the 4th and 7th of July 2019.
