This weekend the Kronos Art festival was held in Barcelona
This festival revolves around the concept of time. Based on this abstract idea, art is treated in the past, present, and future, seeing it as a tool for social criticism and promoting their freedom of artistic creation. Within the framework of Kronos Art, workshops, live painting, performances, exhibitions and talks have been held, open to all the public and for all ages.
A part of this event has been held at the Tres Xemeneies Wallspot walls. Eleven artists have participated in live painting and have filled the square with color with their works. Some of them, such as maga_illustration, bubbles.bcn, keruna_artwork and turkesart have chosen to carry out an artistic collaboration, and other artists such as santiagojaen_chan or juanjosurace have contributed individual works to the festival.
In the Arts Santa Mónica Cultural Center, different works have been exhibited, which were divided into three groups: Present, Past and Future.
Within the past, we can find pieces by artists such as Antonio Saura, Aurèlia Muñoz, or Eduardo Chillida. Through these authors, the viewer has the opportunity to see the relationships and desires of the generations that have preceded us, and to deconstruct the past through art.
The artists that Kronos Art offers us to analyze the present of art are Kenor, La Skrimal, Pep Ávila or Frank Pla, among others. Hand in hand with these artists, the public becomes a cultural activist and begins to become aware as a spectator, thus leading them to capture everything that surrounds them.
The festival has chosen to represent the future of art through the documentary "Els Artistes de L’Futur 2020" where various boys and girls, seen as the artists of the future, reflect on art. Montana Colors held a Children's Graffiti Workshop dedicated to these future artists. In this, girls and boys had the opportunity to experiment with sprays and discover this technique.
From Wallspot we are very happy to have collaborated with Kronos Art BCN and that maga_illustration, bubbles.bcn, keruna_artwork, turkesart, santiagojaen_chan, juanjusurace, ivesone, dadara_art, senotattoo, soemmac and magdacwikart, have left their works on the legal walls by Tres Xemeneies.
