RULES OF THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR POLINIZA DOS 2018 (URBAN ART FESTIVAL)
The Office of Cultural Activities of the Vice Rectorate for Students Affairs and Campus Life is organizing, within the program of activities of POLINIZA DOS 2018 (Urban Art Festival), a meeting for wall painting; a painting done on an architectural support plasticaJly and symbolically associated with its urban environment.
2. REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
The official announcement is open to all artists over 18 years old interested in talking part individually or collectively.
Those selected by the jury must present a project with the aim of creating a pictorial wall mural from 07" to 11" May 2018 inclusive, every day from 10 am to 6 pm on the walls authorised for this on the Campus de Vera of the UPV.
3. APPLICATION FOR THE REGISTRATION AND TIMELINE
The timeline for registration and applications is from March 05" to 31" of 2018, both dates inclusive. Applicants must fill in the registration form available on the website www. upv.es/poliniza and they can include in it any linl‹ to their digital portfolio or website with the work presented. Once all the applications have been received they will be processed by the General Registry of the Universitat Politécnica de Valéncia, located on the ground floor of the building 3F of the Campus de Vera (Camino de Vera, s/n. 46022, Valencia).
4. PANEL OF JUDGES
The following representatives of the Universitat Polité'cnica de Valéncia will maI‹e up the panel of judges: the Vice-Rector for Students, Culture and Sport, the Director of the Office of Cultural Activities, the Vice-Dean of Culture in the Facu Ity of Fine Arts, a professor of the School of Building Engineering, the commissioners of POLINIZA DOS and a representative of the students.
After assessing the information provided, the panel of judges will select the participants for the event. At the same time, they must present a sketch of the project within 15 calendar days from the communication of the resolution and they will commit to creating it in accordance with the terms contained in these rules.
The panel of judges shall function as set out in the rules of the collegiate organizations of Law 40/2015 on the Legal Regime of Public Administration.

5. SELECTION CRITERIA
The ju dges’ assess ment will tal‹e into consideration the following criteria:
1. Career and/or academic and art education
2. Participation in ekhibitions, events, festivals and other urban art shows
3. G rants and prizes
4. Continuous worl‹ creating wall art in public spaces
The panel of judges will evaluate and suggest the winners and submit the proposal to the Rector for resolution. The winners will be notified within 5 days.
The winner of the contest will be announced through the lin I‹ ‘Cultura’ on the website www.upv. es (www. upv.es/entidades/ACU/index-es. html) and the POLINIZA DOS website (www.upv. es/poJiniza/).
The grant total is 4200 euros, which are charged to the consignment 009010000-422- 47110. The gross prize for each artist or grou p will be 600 euros (they will be paid by banl‹ transfer) for every piece of wall art completed. There will be a maximum of 7 individual or collective pieces. In addition, the organization covers the travel, board and lodging expenses of the selected artists. Furthermore, the materials needed for the project will be provided to the participants. Prizes are subject to the appropriate tax deductions.
8. CONDITIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE PROJECT
The artists will transfer the rights of their worI‹s to the UPV, who may make free use of them and determine their time of stay in the exhibition space, wh ich in some cases may be longer than the time elapsed between consecutive editions. For his part, the Vice-Rectorate of Students, Culture and Sport is committed to disseminating the prize through the usual ch annets and will provide the infrastructure and materials needed for the impJementation of the selected project. At the same time, the author or group of authors are committed to completing the project presented within the established timeline.
The participation i mplies both total agreement with and acceptance of these rules.

Valéncia, without time limitations and on a global basis. For the purpose of this concession, transformation means the simple inclusion of the worI‹ presented in the database of the vice- rectorate.
11. DATA PROTECTION
The personal data provided by the contestants to the Universitat Politécnica de Valéncia within this official announcement will have the protection established in organic law 15/1999 of
DecemberInch on Personal Data Protection.
12. APPLICABLE APPEALS AGAINST THE RESOLUTION
An appeal can be lodged to the Rectorate of UPV to reconsider this official announcement, the rules and resolution, which exhausts the legal channeJs, within one month from the day following the notification, according to the terms established in Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015 of October 1" on the Common-Administrative Procedure of the Legal Regime of Public Administrations or by a contentious administrative appeal of the Comunidad Valenciana within two months from the day following the notification of this resolution, according to the terms established in Articles 14 and 46 of Law 29/1998 of July 13", which regulates Contentious- Administrative Justice.
